- Disseminate direction from Program Manager (PM) and Deputy Program Manager (DPM) to the staff, establish internal suspense items and track actions to conclusion
- Evaluate incoming memos, letters, submissions, and reports to determine their significance to the program and required distribution
- Review, revise and incorporate inputs to briefings from multiple Principle Assistant Program Managers (PAPMs) across the Littoral Combat Ship Fleet Introduction and Sustainment Program (PMS 505); fact-checking and editing for continuity of content, formatting, mechanics (basic grammar, spelling, punctuation) and intention (communicating intended message to intended audience)
- Keep abreast of events, policy changes, and decisions affecting, or with the potential to affect, PMS 505
- Proactively identify issues that could impact the successful execution of the PMS 505 mission and assist leadership in resolving such issues
- Serve as liaison between PMS 505 and other Program Offices within PEO LCS
- Organize and facilitate Strategic Offsite sessions to assist the PM/DPM in ensuring alignment and collaboration among PAPMs towards PM designated goals and objectives
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 15 years of relevant experience
- Active DoD secret security clearance
- Ability to logically prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks and effectively schedule required meetings or follow-up actions
- Familiarity with DoD structure, policy, and procedures with a strong understanding of the Navy Acquisition Community
- Positive, solution-oriented attitude
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Basic understanding of naval engineering principles, integrated logistics support, and business financial management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree
- Previous experience as a Chief of Staff, OPNAV Action Officer or Flag Aide
- DAWIA certifications
