Logistics Analyst

Provide Logistics support for the introduction of the Expeditionary Mobile Base (ESBs) currently being acquired by the Navy’s Program Office for Strategic and Theater Sealift (PMS 385).  Duties include reviewing Provisioning Technical Documentation (PTD) and Supplemental Provisioning Technical Documentation (SPTD), technical manuals, and lists of spare and repair parts and other logistics support elements for accuracy and completeness relative to the specific ship class being supported in a timely manner to meet planned operational capability and deployment dates.   The successful candidate will have in depth knowledge of current Navy and/or Military Sealift Command (MSC) logistic support policies and practices as applied to shipboard machinery, equipment and systems.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Review engineering drawings, technical data, Bill of materials (BOMs) and other Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)/Vendor Furnished Information (VFI) for developing ship equipment logistics support packages (LSI) and associated configuration records.
  • Assist in the development of the logistic support system for ships under construction for the U.S. Navy and Military Sealift Command (MSC).
  • Review PTD and SPTD for accuracy and applicability to ESB Class platforms
  • Provide administrative and analytic support to U.S. Navy clients in the ship acquisition and design community.

 Requirements: 

  • College graduate.
  • Familiarity with  shipboard systems and equipment on U.S. Naval Ships.
  • Familiarity with reading and understanding engineering drawings.
  • Ability to grasp information quickly and work synergistically in a team environment.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
